Why Pretty Savage Jewelry
*The Story Behind Pretty Savage Jewelry*
Hello there! My name is Todd, and I’m the creative mind behind Pretty Savage Jewelry. One of the first questions people ask me is: Why Pretty Savage?
Great question.
Before this, I had a jewelry brand called Unique Creations. It was good—but it never felt quite right. Then, life threw me a massive challenge. Over five years, I underwent 34 surgeries and countless procedures. During that time, I stopped creating. The spark that once fueled me was gone. While I still made pieces for friends and family, the passion wasn’t the same. After recovering from major surgeries, I found myself stuck in a cycle of frustration. Nothing seemed to work. Within a month of each surgery, my symptoms would return. I needed something—luck, a sign, maybe even a miracle.
Then, a little over a year ago, I was introduced to Blackpink, the Korean (K-pop) group. Their music hit differently—their mix of pop, rap, and live hard rock band backing captivated me. I was hooked.
In July, I underwent an experimental surgery. As they wheeled me into the operating room, the surgeon asked if I had any special requests. Without hesitation, I said, "Yes, please play Blackpink’s 'Shut Down' as I go under." They did. When I woke up, something felt different. The surgery was a success—and it has remained effective nearly a year later.
In September, I had another major surgery to reconstruct my esophagus and upper stomach. Again, I requested Blackpink—this time, "Don't Know What to Do." When I awoke, for the first time in five years, I felt good. I could swallow and digest food properly again. It was as if my luck had finally changed. And the song that carried me through it all? Pretty Savage.
By December, my creative spark had reignited. The need for a rebrand was clear—Pretty Savage Jewelry was born.
Thank you for reading my story and for visiting my page.
Stay bold. Stay savage.
